You may know that GetMailbxTable in MFCMAPI returns both primary mailboxes and archive mailboxes. I checked all the properties of a mailbox and it seems no properties to flag whether a primary or archive mailbox. I cannot find any any clue in the MAPI reference either.

Could anyone give me clue?

Thanks in advance!
It was helpful. Not much detail on using MFCMAPI, but enough to get the job done. I had tried using OWA to recover the items, but there are over 900. Employee left company, & company wants deleted items. Outlook 2003 did not provide the function in the tool bar to recover deleted files. Not sure why, checked registry setting. It is enabled. I thought that there might be a way thru the Exchange Console or Shell to do it, though I have not found it yet. Possibly using the search function? Something to look into more in depth. The MFCMAPI tool did the job. Glad that I found it.

Thanks for the help!
MFCMAPI doesn't do anything with Exchange databases. MAPI doesn't do anything with Exchange databases. Like I said, if you want to look at an Exchange database, you need to put the database back into Exchange.

Your question is about Exchange 2010 backup and restore. Here's a Bing search to get you started:
http://www.bing.com/search?q=exchange+2010+restore+backup

I'll give you a hint though - you don't back up Exchange databases by copying the .edb files. Read this thread to get an idea why:
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangesvravailabilityandisasterrecovery/thread/0bb358cd-d699-4408-b6fb-5595e19b468a
I Know that when I want View the PST file . I could do this:

First
       use  CreateProfile() create a profile.
  Then
      SPropValue       spv;
     spv.ulPropTag = PR_PST_PATH;
    spv.Value.lpszA = (LPSTR)lpPstfile;
    hr = pMsgSvcAdmin->ConfigureMsgService((LPMAPIUID)pRowset->aRow[pRowset->cRows-1].lpProps[iSvcUID].Value.bin.lpb, 0,0,1,&spv);

but I don't Know what I should do with the exchang database(EG: Mailbox Database 1117657611.edb) file.

We could not delete her flagged items because of the same error you got with the exception of line 950.
It turned out that she was on another list in which she was retaining all emails. Once we removed her from that list (temporarily) we were able to then delete the folder containing her flagged items (tasks). After doing so we had the user restart Outlook and it successfully repopulated the tasks with not only her old tasks but the ones she was flagging while we were trying to figure out the issue.
Hope this helps!

Project Description
MFCMAPI uses Microsoft's published APIs to provide access to MAPI stores through a graphical user interface. Its purpose is to facilitate investigation of Exchange and Outlook issues and to provide developers with a canonical sample for MAPI development.

March 2013 Second Release of MFCMAPI and MrMAPI
