No Public folder store

Hello all,

Hoping to get this question answered becuase it just doesn't make sense to me.

I have a lab set up and doing some testing with Exchange 2007 SP1\SP2 and Exchange 2010.

When I launch mfcmapi and try to connect to a mailbox I get a  MAPI_E_FAILONEPROVIDER == 0x8004011D.

Now then as soon as I create a Public Folder store on the exchange server where this mailbox resides all is happy with the world and I can open the mailbox.

What am I missing here. By what I see mfcmapi requires a PF store to work. Is this actually the case?

Thanks,

Andrew

MFCMAPI doesn't require a public folder store. But the version of MAPI you're using might. Read this: http://blogs.msdn.com/stephen_griffin/archive/2007/03/19/mapi-and-exchange-2007.aspx

Good sir I can not thank  you enough for this. We use mfcmapi as a basic trouble shooting tool (saves installing something like Outlook) and I've been racking my brains on this for weeks. Thank you very much for this. This is excellent.
