Most likely you downloaded the 64 bit build of MFCMAPI, when what you need is the 32 bit build.

Hi,

I am trying to use MFCMAPI in a machine with Windows XP Professional, Outlook 2003 which is connected to only an Exchange 2003 account.

When i click on "Logon and Display Store Table", I get the following error:

Error
Code: MAPI_E_CALL_FAILED == 0x800045005

Could you please help me understand why this is happening?

Hi,

I am trying to convert PST to EML using IConverterSession. A annoying problem for me is that the IConverterSession does not use PR_TRANSPORT_MESSAGE_HEADERS when doing the conversion. It directly results losing data from thr original header. I am wondering if anyone knows a way to somehow ask IConverterSession to use the original transport header?

Hi.

Thanks for answering.

Yes we have exchange with outlook on terminal server machine.

The problem occurs only when we try to send the second+ message with SHOWMODAL form.

When we open NEWMESSAGE with none modal form, all work fine.

And some times we need to work with ShowModal.

Do you have both Outlook and Exchange installed on this machine? If so, that's not a supported configuration and is known to cause problems like this with MAPI.

Yeah - you can't install Outlook on an Exchange 2003 box and expect MAPI to work. Outlook needs to come off that box. You might need to reinstall Exchange to get MAPI working again.

Thanks for your response.

1: Yes, exchange installed on this box (2003 SP2 (Version 6.5.7638.1))

2: Didn't know it was, but yes, outlook is also installed on our exchange box.

3: The MAPI download? I am running the "MFCMapi.exe" tool from a folder on the desktop.

4: The version number of mapi32.dll is 6.5.7654.12

Sounds like the installation of MAPI on this box is messed up.

Is Exchange installed on this box? If so, which version?

Is Outlook installed on this box? If so, which version?

Is the MAPI download installed on this box?

Can you locate c:\Windows\System32\mapi32.dll and report the version number?

Hello,
I am a novice with this MFCMapi tool - Please help!

I was having troubles restoring a Public Folder using backup excec - Backup Exec was giving Mapi errors and basically points towards an article that tells you how to use this MFCMapi

tool; to test MAPI is working correctly on exchange.

The instructions tell me to double click on the tool, then go to 'Session>Logon and Display store Table'

When I do, I get the following error:

"Error: The specified procedure could not be found.

Code: 0x8007007F == 0x8007007F
Function pfnFGetComponentPath( szComponent, szQualifier, szDllPath, cchDLLPath, TRUE)
File .\ImportProcs.cpp
Line 327"

When I press ok, it brings up the profile screen, but the above message doesn't look good!?

Those message came from MFCMAPI

when i tried to run MFCMAPI within Terminal Server With Outlook 2003 + Exchange

the first call to "new message" work fine.

the next time - the app fail.

this thing dose not happen when i use redemption.

it allso happen when i use ExtendenMapi ot IMIBO

can u help me ovvercome this problem???
